Join Our Mission to Save Lives

Access for Relief and Development (ACRED) is a national non-governmental, non-profitable, non-partial, non-political, and non-religious organization founded in Somalia in 1997. ACRED NGO was established in Mogadishu, Somalia, by a group of intellectuals who were concerned about the humanitarian disasters in Somalia.

ACRED programs focus on serving marginalized and minority communities in Somalia. With a strong emphasis on women’s empowerment and child protection, our programs also cater to IDPs, refugees, and returnees. We prioritize the needs of vulnerable groups, including those with disabilities, the elderly, and youth.

ACRED is a national NGO that operates in South and Central Somalia. We focus on agriculture, education, health and nutrition, WASH programs, peacebuilding, advocacy on FGM, GBV, and human trafficking, human rights, and monitoring and evaluation. Our team comprises a general assembly, a board of directors, and various program staff.
